Annual Class
A further component of the program is the annual class on “Europeanizing SEE.” This is a co-taught course (started in summer term 2020) by faculty members and junior researchers, which builds a common understanding of the concept of Europeanization, discusses the key literature from different disciplines, and showcases ongoing research. The course is held in different formats, including a lecture series, seminars, and co-taught classes. In these courses, special consideration is given to gender issues. First, it will grant PhD researchers the opportunity to present their research findings to other students. Second, it provides a framework for faculty and external experts (especially from the network) to present their research to a wider university audience and to link the doctoral program to the wider academic community.
