- Academic excellence, reflected by relevant and high-quality publications in the fields related to the project, participation in innovative research projects, and contributions to the international scientific community
- Reputation for providing quality supervision to PhD students, commitment to supervise according to the mentoring agreement, and high engagement in teaching
- Experience in engaging in interdisciplinary exchange and research
- Academic backgrounds and research interests to contribute to the central research aims of the program
- Excellent English, knowledge of one language of Southeastern Europe (advantageous)
