Four new Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Individual Fellows to start in autumn 2021

Mittwoch, 10.02.2021, Sonstiges

The Field of Excellence and Centre for Southeast European Studies will be joined by four Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellows, who won the prestigious fellowship in February 2021. Over the past years – with the first fellow starting on September 1st, 2016 –, the Centre for Southeast European Studies and the Field of Excellence “Dimensions of Europeanization” had been able to secure seven Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowships. In 2020, the Field of Excellence sought to build on this success to attract new researchers for a two years stay at the University of Graz. The result is that in 2021 four more MSCA Individual Fellows will start their investigations at the University of Graz.

At the Centre for Southeast European Studies, Nejra Nuna Čengić will investigate “Female Paid Domestic Care Work: A Node of Changing Social Relationships in Bosnia and Herzegovina” and Ana Pajvančić Cizelj “Spatialities of Europeanization in Western Balkans (EURoWEB)” with Florian Bieber serving as mentor. At the Institute of Slavic Studies, Yvonne Zivkovic will conduct research on “Migrant Authors from Southeastern Europe and the Transfer of Intangible Heritage (MASETIH)” with Renate Hansen-Kokoruš as mentor. At the Centre for Information Modelling - Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities, Bernhard Bauer will investigate “Early Medieval Glosses And The Question Of Their Genesis: A Case Study On The Vienna Bede” with the mentor Georg Vogeler.

With now eleven successful MSCA Individual Fellowhships we are strengthening the University’s agenda on young researcher development and provide an international and interdisciplinary working environment in the framework of the Field of Excellence.
